Services

National Benefits Group of America, Inc. (NBGA) provides customized enrollment services to both the corporate and the healthcare community. NBGA offers concise and effective benefit communication services to employers and their employees through our state of the art electronic enrollment process.

Core Benefit Enrollment and Communication

NBGA will communicate benefits and enroll your employees electronically by combining the latest software technology with a one-on-one laptop presentation. We will assist employees in making their benefit selections by providing them with an explanation of each benefit and the appropriate rates. We will meet individually with each benefit eligible employee. By having the opportunity to meet face-to-face with our benefit counselors, employees will have a better understanding about their existing benefits and their choices.

Professional Enrollment Team

The key to any successful organization is the people that make it happen. Our experienced team of benefit counselors and account managers are professionals who act as an extension of your benefits and human resource department. Our account managers will set up and schedule the enrollment and be on site during the entire process. All activity is done to ensure that employees receive a consistent, positive message about benefit plans.

Our benefit counselors and account managers are not commissioned, but are paid on a salary basis. We "educate" employees using a professional and low-key approach to benefit communications. We want employees to understand their benefits; therefore we spend as much time as needed in a one-on-one environment.

Employee Benefit Statement

In addition to providing your employees with a paycheck, you provide them with a comprehensive benefit package - sometimes referred to as the "hidden paycheck". Do the employees really know how much it costs the hospital to provide them with health benefits, workers compensation coverage, retirement plan, sick leave, FICA, etc...? All of these represent a substantial investment on your part. Many employees have no idea how much it costs the hospital to provide all these benefits.

Our benefit communication process will bring to your employees' attention what you provide to them beyond their paychecks. We will educate them about this "hidden paycheck" and the costs associated with providing it. Each employee walks away with a personalized hardcopy of their benefit statement.

Benefits Enrollment Guide

The overall objective of the Benefits Enrollment Guide is to create a tool that provides information (not just data) to the employee during the Open Enrollment period and throughout the plan year. Each book assists the employee with the following:

  • Concise plan information on each benefit they are eligible to participate in
  • Overview of plan designs, which will provide answers to the majority of repetitive benefit questions
  • Telephone numbers and Web addresses for your insurance vendors/brokers, thereby enabling the employee to access the carriers for service-related issues
  • Plan cost information that makes it easy for employees to calculate their payroll deduction costs based on their benefit selections
  • Corporate image building, as the employee sees that overall plan cost in comparison to their payroll deductions and better understands that the benefits are an important part of overall compensation

From a corporate perspective, the Benefits Enrollment Guide creates a multiple function administrative tool in the following ways:

  • Can be used for new hire orientation and employee recruiting (what do you give a prospective employee now when they ask about your benefit plan and retirement programs?)
  • A single source guide that will answer the vast majority of your benefit plan questions from employees, therefore reducing inbound repetitive benefit questions in the HR or benefits office
  • A learning tool to accelerate employee “self service”. i.e, when an employee calls the benefit office for assistance, they can be reminded that the information is in the Benefits Enrollment Guide
  • As mentioned above, this provides a great platform for educating the employee on the total cost of the benefit program as well as the overall value of employee benefits in total compensation

Automated Core Benefit Enrollment

By using an automated enrollment process to enroll employees, the Human Resource department is freed from the time-consuming traditional benefit enrollment process:

  • In service meetings to explain benefits
  • Distributing the numerous enrollment applications/forms
  • Answering employee questions/assisting in completion of forms
  • Collection of all forms and chasing down missing information
  • Manually inputting all of the benefit election information prior to effective date

The obvious benefit to the hospital is the time and money that will be saved by using an automated enrollment process.

Data Update and Verification

During the enrollment process, we will review all of the employee's personal information that the hospital provides us. We will then update addresses, phone numbers, dependent information, beneficiaries, etc, during the enrollment. At the end of the enrollment we will provide back to the hospital an updated record for each employee. This assures the hospital that they have accurate personal information on each of their employees.

Periodic Review and Service

We believe that when you put your trust in NBGA for your employee benefit plans, we must earn your continued relationship by staying current on pending legislation or economic events through continued research and review. In this way we will help ensure that your benefits remain competitive so they continue to meet your management philosophy and objectives.

Voluntary Benefits

To provide the above valuable services at no cost to the hospital, we would need to offer two voluntary products along with the automated enrollment process.
